Prince: What is your favorite food?
West: Potatoes.
P: What one book do you think everyone would benefit from reading?
W: The Book of Job.
P: What one piece of music do you think everyone would benefit from listening to?
W: John Coltrane, My Favorite Things
P: What is your favorite way to relax?
W: Reading.
P: What word or phrase are you most guilty of overusing?
W: Vocation.
P: What is your favorite slang word or phrase?

W: Stay strong.
P: What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
W: Love one's way though life.
P: What did you think you'd most likely major in when you entered college, and what did you ultimately major in?
W: I entered college pre-law and ended up studying philosophy. I studied joint with philosophy and language and literature because I graduated early . . . so it gets complicated.
P: What sorts of occupations other than the one you have now do you think you'd be best suited for?
W: I think I'd make a hell of a jazz musician if I learned how to play an instrument.
P: What is your clearest memory?
W: My father's funeral.
P: If you could be transported back to any decade in the 20th century, which would it be?
W: The 1960s.
P: What is a childhood dream that you have gotten to live out?
W: I had a childhood dream to...touch the lives of students.
P: What is a childhood dream that you haven't?
W: Ahh . . . to fall in love and stay in love for a long long long long time . . . haha.
P: What question would you like to ask every person that you meet?
W: Where they were born and how many brothers and sisters they have.
P: What is something surprising about yourself that the world doesn't know, but should?
W: That deep down I'm a shy person, but no one would ever know that.
P: Do you curse frequently/when do you curse?
W: Never at all.
P: Do you have any unusual eating habits/generally quirky habits?
W: Yes. I like Wawa hot dogs but they're not good for me!
P: What causes you to get visibly emotional?
W: When people are hurt.
P: What is your deepest held conviction?
W: Probably my Christian faith to put compassion at the center of one's life.
P: Who do you consider to have been your most significant mentor?
W: My brother.
P: Whats the first thing you notice about a person of the opposite sex walking by?
W: Usually her style. How she's stylizing space and time.
P: What is happiness?
W: Hmm. I think happiness is making others happy.
P: What is the coolest thing you know (that everyone else should know, too)?
W: The coolest thing I know . . . what I like to tell everybody is that so often the roses are coming through the cracks of the concrete . . . like Louie Armstrong or William Faulkner . . . in places you don't expect.
