Anderson earns ECAC Player of the Week honors
Women's hockey's senior forward Gretchen Anderson was named Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday for her performance over the Thanksgiving Break.
Anderson, who has been a constant offensive force for the Tigers this season, managed a hat trick at the Whale in New Haven, Conn., on Friday, Nov. 28, in the Tigers' 3-2 win over the Elis. Anderson commanded the offensive production for Princeton, scoring the game-winning goal with only five minutes left in the third period.
Sunday, the Tigers routed Boston College in Baker Rink, 8-0. Once again chipping in on offense was Anderson, who netted two goals in the contest.
Those goals set her atop the nation in the goals scored category with 15.
This adds to a long list of honors for the senior this season already. Before this award, she was named ECAC Player of the Week on Nov. 17, to the Honor Roll on Nov. 3, Nov. 10 and Nov. 24, the USCHO.com Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 18 and the Ivy League Honor Roll multiple times.
