A Princeton employee driving a University vehicle hit a moving vehicle and then two parked cars on Friday at about 4:15 p.m., according to a Princeton Borough press release.
Kenrick Butler, 51, of Trenton, a delivery driver employed by the University, was charged with driving while intoxicated after Borough Police investigated the incident, according to the press release.
Butler's case is set to be heard on Oct. 20.
Possible drug theft
A bottle of prescription medicine from McCosh Health Center was reported missing last Thursday evening, said Barry Weiser, public safety crime prevention specialist.
A McCosh Health Center staffer doing a routine inventory reported that a bottle of prescription Robitussin AC — which contains the controlled substance Codeine — was missing from its usual location in a locked drawer on the second floor of the infirmary, Weiser said.
Student fight
Also during the weekend, a visiting friend of a University student and a University student were involved in an altercation near Prospect Gardens at about 4:00 a.m. Sunday.
Weiser said the incident began as a verbal argument and developed into a physical fight. Both parties were reported as intoxicated.
The visiting student sustained minor injuries and was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton to receive stitches on his lip, Weiser said.
The incident is under investigation, Weiser said.
Late Sunday evening, a Public Safety officer reported smelling marijuana in Prospect Gardens while responding to another call.
When the officer approached four individuals in the area, two fled the scene and two stopped, Weiser said.
The two who stopped are University students who, upon investigation, did not possess any illegal substances.
