She said roughly 100 new members joined sororities.

The rush process takes four nights. Prospective members meet with each of the four sororities and narrow their choices as the week progresses, England said. Finally, the girls and sororities are matched together, said Tri-Delta President Meg Gerbasi '04.

Kappa President Emily Minkow '04 said Kappa has 28 new members.

Though fewer girls may have come out for rush this year than last year, Gerbasi said, fewer dropped out over the course of of the rush week.

Tri-Delta accepted more girls than last year.

"They're all really great girls," Gerbasi said.

Theta president Suzanna Sanchez '04 echoed the opinion.

"We were worried because numbers were down this year," she said. "But the quality of girls was really great."
