The women's hockey team named Danielle Bilodeau, a 2001 graduate of Cornell, assistant head coach over the weekend.
Princeton head coach Jeff Kampersal '92, who led his shorthanded team to the Eastern College Athletic Conference-North tournament last season, made the announcement. The Tigers, who missed U.S. Olympian and silver medalist Andrea Kilbourne for the entire year, were swept in the first round of the tourney by a tough Harvard team.
Kampersal was previously honored as ECAC-North Coach of the Year.
Bilodeau scored 26 goals and 44 assists during her college career and did much of her playing on special teams. She scored five shorthanded goals and four power play goals.
She was co-captain of the Big Red's 2001 team.
Bilodeau played professional hockey for the Beatrice Aeros of the National Women's Hockey League.
She was a 2001 NCAA Humanitarian Hockey nominee.
"We are very excited to have Dani join our staff," Kampersal said when he announced Bilodeau's hiring.
