Women's basketball
The women's basketball team made a bold statement on Friday, opening its season with a 76-61 triumph over Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks beat the Tigers by 26 points last year. Freshman guard Karen Bolster set a Princeton record by scoring 24 points in her first college game.
Women's volleyball
Women's volleyball's final weekend was a microcosm of the season as a whole — bad start, good finish. The Tigers lost to Brown, 3-0, on Saturday, and then beat Yale, 3-2, on Sunday. Princeton finishes the year with a 15-9 overall record and a 9-5 league record.
Ivy League football
Harvard's win over Yale on Saturday completed the Crimson's first undefeated season since 1913. Of Harvard's nine games, the closest was a 28-26 defeat of Princeton, when the Tigers' last-minute field goal attempt was wide left.
Men's hockey
Princeton split its weekend's games by beating Vermont, 5-4, and losing to Dartmouth, 5-2. The Tigers are now 1-5 on the year.
Women's hockey
Princeton tied Providence, 1-1, on Saturday and beat Yale, 4-0, on Sunday. Sophomore forward Gretchen Andersen had a goal in each game.
