A University student was taken to Princeton Medical Center yesterday after falling and injuring his head in his Pyne Hall dormitory room, Public Safety shift supervisor Lt. Jim Collins said.
The student, whose identity was not available, was allegedly in his dorm room and fell, striking his head on his desk. After finding the student unconscious, a Pyne Hall resident, who said he heard the student fall, called Public Safety at 2 p.m., Collins said.
Following procedure, two ambulances were dispatched to Pyne Hall.
"We always send for two ambulances with a fall with a head injury," Collins said.
The student, though conscious when medical personnel arrived, was carried down the stairs from his dorm room in a "stair chair" and brought to PMC for "repercussion testing," Collins said.
The results of the tests were not available late last night.
