Things just keep rolling in the right direction for men's soccer. Saturday, Brown defeated Harvard, 3-0, to lift Princeton (10-2-5 overall, 5-1-1 Ivy League) to share the Ivy title with Brown.
A 3-0 win over the Bears early in the season broke the tie to give the Tigers the automatic NCAA tournament berth. And yesterday, Princeton learned that not only had it been awarded a first-round bye, but Lourie-Love Stadium was chosen as a host site for the tournament.
Friday, Farleigh-Dickinson will take on Boston College in first-round competition. The Tigers will play the winner on Sunday in a game that will also be held at Princeton.
"We are excited to be playing at home and to have a bye in the first round. Having said that, both FDU and Boston College are strong teams and have had excellent seasons," head coach Jim Barlow '91 said.
