"I feel very honored and humbled," said Miller, who was USG vice president last year.

He said he is looking forward to next year, and is already gathering thoughts together for the 2002 class day and senior week.

"I'd really like to get someone associated with the political arena in some way," he said of possible speakers.

Miller added that he hopes to get student input on these events.

In addition, Miller has some larger projects in mind. "I want to establish a community service [program]," he said, in hopes that such a program can bring his class closer together.

Catherine Farmer was elected as Class of 2003 president. Farmer was sophomore class president this year.
