Weekend wrap-up

Fencing

It was a tremendous Saturday for both the men's and women's fencing teams at Jadwin Gym. The women's team rallied from an imposing 13-9 deficit to beat Yale, 14-13, after topping Harvard earlier in the day, 17-10. Sophomore foil Mindy Rostal won the clinching bout against Yale, giving Princeton its third-consecutive Ivy League title. The men's team had a much less dramatic afternoon, easily beating Harvard, 23-4, and Yale, 19-8. The men's team will share this year's Ivy title with Columbia and Penn.

Women's Hockey

The women's hockey team started the weekend looking for a sweep of Maine and UNH, and looked headed in that direction after beating Maine, 3-1, and scoring first against UNH. The Wildcats would rally, however, to beat the Tigers, 2-1.

Women's Water Polo

The women's water polo team dropped two of its first three games this weekend at the UCSB Gaucho Tournament. The Tigers were due to face Michigan last night to compete for 11th place in the tournament. The game was not complete at press time.

Squash

The men's squash team finished fourth at the NISRA Team Championships. The Tigers beat Williams, 8-1, but lost to Harvard, 6-3, and Yale in the consolation matchup, 5-4. The women's squash team visited Trinity and lost, 5-4.
