A University student was arrested Tuesday at the U-Store on the charge of shoplifting, Borough Police said yesterday.
According to Borough Police Lt. Anthony Federico, Karim Branford '04 was arrested after U-Store security observed him allegedly concealing Sega Dreamcast video game CDs, a lamp and lightbulbs on his person.
U-Store security detained the student, and police arrived on the scene to arrest him. Branford was later released on his own recognizance.
Federico said the shoplifting charge would be treated as a disorderly persons offense. Branford is scheduled to appear in Borough court Monday.
Branford declined to comment on the incident yesterday.
