Princeton freshman goaltender Megan Van Beu-sekom was named ECAC Rookie of the Week in women's hockey last week. Though the Tigers went 0-1-1 last week, Van Beusekom made 41 saves, posting a 1.46 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage against Providence and Northeastern.

On the season, Van Beusekom has tallied a 2-3-2 record with a 2.43 GAA and a .903 save percentage.

Though no Princeton players were named Ivy Player of the Week or Rookie of the Week in men's basketball, junior guard Mike Bechtold was named to the weekly Honor Roll. Bechtold scored 16 points in the Tigers' win over Xavier Saturday.

For the week, Bechtold scored 39 points. He also picked up seven rebounds against Lafayette Wednes-day in an impressive encore to his Player of the Week performance the previous week.


In women's basketball, sophomore forward Mau-reen Lane was named to the Honor Roll. In the Tigers' only game, she scored 17 points, making four three-pointers. Lane has led Princeton in scoring three times in the Tigers' six games this season.
