With a 53-3 drubbing of Drexel on Sunday, the men's rugby team earned a spot in the finals of its conference, the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union. This Sunday, the Tigers will face off for the title against rival Kutztown, which defeated Westchester in its semifinal.
The competition will get underway at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the South Jersey Rugby Club in Voorhees. The winner of this year's EPRU title will earn a No. 1 seed in Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union competition. The MARFU tournament will not take place until this spring.
Junior guard Ahmed El-Nokali underwent an adductor release operation Oct. 19 and has not practiced yet this season for the men's basketball team.
El-Nokali had been experiencing tendon problems in his left leg since last season. He is expected to return to action four weeks after his surgery, which would keep him out of the lineup for Princeton's season-opener. The Tigers take on Duke on Nov. 14 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
