Fan's car found overturned after evening football game

In a bizarre act of vandalism, a 1994 Honda Accord, parked between FitzRandolph Road and Broadmead Street, was overturned while its owner was attending the football game Saturday night, according to Public Safety Crime Prevention Specialist Barry Weiser.

Township Police Capt. Peter Savalli said police are not sure how the car was overturned, but they do not believe it was the result of a motor vehicle accident.

"It wasn't hit by another car," Savalli said. "These things aren't that heavy. Half a dozen guys could flip it."

Savalli said police are investigating the incident but do not yet know who might have flipped the car or why. He said there have not been any similar incidents in the area.

Weiser said the car suffered damage to its roof, windshield, hood, all four doors and both side-view mirrors.

People with information about the incident may call Public Safety.
