Three swastikas were found chalked outside a Yale University freshman residence hall lateSundaynight, the Yale Daily News reported, the second such swastika incident at Yale in the past month and a half.
Dean of Yale College Jonathan Holloway informed the Yale community of the swastikas on Monday night, speaking out harshly against the chalk drawings.
"I condemn this shameful defacement, perpetrated anonymously under cover of night," Holloway wrote in his email. "There is no room for hate in this house."
The Yale Daily News reported that the email also asked students to come forth with any information they might have about the perpetrators.
This incident follows an incident last month where several swastikas were found drawn inside Vanderbilt Hall. Other similar swastika drawing incidents have occurred at Emory University and Eastern Michigan University as well.
