Unfamiliar lineup to take court at Jadwin in home opener

Year one brought a coaching change. Year two, the loss of two members of the 1,000-point club. With four starters back from last season and only one senior gone, year three of the Joe Scott era was supposed to be the predictable one.Seven games into the schedule, it has been anything but.When the men's basketball team (5-2) plays its home opener against Lehigh this evening at 7:30 p.m., head coach Scott '87 will introduce Princeton fans to a player rotation sure to surprise many.

For club sports, a slow process of reform

Close to two months after students first voiced concerns about the University's club sports program, singling out issues with funding, poor facilities and personnel, administrators say they are responding to student criticism and taking steps to fix the problem."The University is addressing the allocation of more financial resources toward sport clubs including a sport club endowment component in the upcoming campaign," said David Leach, associate director of athletics for campus recreation, referring to Nassau Hall's forthcoming multi-billion dollar capital campaign.President Tilghman agreed that help is on the way, but cautioned that the situation will not be remedied overnight."It would be highly unusual for something to have been resolved in this length of time, as it would take the Priorities Committee to designate this as a high priority for the next budget year," Tilghman said in an email, referring to the University committee that allocates funding for programs.Students' concerns were first highlighted in an Oct.

Princeton hosts Big Al Invite

Facing off against some of the nation's top competition, the men's and women's swimming and diving team's finished third and fourth, respectively, at the Big Al Invitational, held over the weekend at DeNunzio Pool.The Invitational does not count towards any team's season record but was an opportunity for teams to showcase and hone their talents as they approach the heart of their regular seasons.
