Women's Volleyball: Rudnick leads Tigers into tie for league lead

The Yale women’s volleyball team would love to return to a single moment on Friday night. It was game three. Each team had won one game apiece. The score was 13-13, and Yale had just called a timeout. Neither team had led a set by more than four points throughout the entire match. It was anyone’s match for the taking. And the Tigers took it.

Cross Country: Cabral, men take 4th at Wisconsin

The Wisconsin adidas Invitational was a race of titans. Making up what was perhaps the deepest and most competitive mid-season meet in recent NCAA history, 21 of the nation’s top 30 cross-country powerhouses toed the line on Friday in Madison, Wis. Effectively a type of pre-nationals, the field was filled with individual and team contenders for the national title in November.

Men's Soccer: Late goal keeps Princeton winless in Ivies

For five brief minutes on Saturday night at Roberts Stadium, the men’s soccer team held onto the hope that it could turn its season around and contend for the Ivy League title. But when Columbia scored the go-ahead goal in the 89th minute of play, those hopes vanished just as quickly as they had come for a Princeton team that finds itself winless and tied with Harvard for last place in the conference.

Women's Soccer: Hoy sparks offensive breakout as hosts extend win streak

Despite strong offensive showings by the women’s soccer team all season, the squad has struggled to close out the games they seemed destined to win. But Princeton was finally able to convert its prowess in the Ivy League when it took and extended an early lead over Columbia on Saturday. The Tigers dominated the visitors 4-1 for their first Ivy League win of the season.

Cross Country: Runners to take on nation’s best at Wisconsin Invitational

The Wisconsin Adidas Invitational is the place to be this weekend for a nationally ranked NCAA cross-country team. When the gun goes off for the men’s 8K race at 1:40 p.m. on Friday, of the 40-team field, no fewer than 20 of the top 30 ranked teams in the nation will toe the line. Not to be outdone, the women’s 6K race will likewise feature 18 ranked squads.

Men's Soccer: Princeton outfights Leopards for 2-1 victory

The men’s soccer team got a much-needed win on Tuesday evening at Roberts Stadium, defeating the Lafayette Leopards 2-1 in a physical matchup that was televised by ESPNU. The game, although close in score, was generally dominated by Princeton, which hopes to turn around what has so far been a disappointing season. The Tigers had won only two of 10 games entering the evening.
