Having a 200-pound player skating at you with a stick and one hell of a slap shot makes you wonder why anybody would want to be a goaltender.For sophomore standout Eric Leroux, it's precisely the challenge of fast breaks and quick pucks that keeps him in the net."I find goaltending to be interesting in that you'll always make a mistake, whether or not you get a shutout," Leroux said.

M. hoops defends home court vs. Holy Cross

The last time the men's basketball team started a season 2-0, a center named Steve Goodrich led the Tigers to an eventual 27-2 record and a top-10 national ranking.Through two games this year, junior center Judson Wallace is doing his best Goodrich impression.The Georgia native scored a career-high 31 points and pulled down nine rebounds while playing every minute of the game as Princeton topped Holy Cross last Friday, 61-55.Wallace was 11-for-13 from the field, including three of five from beyond the arc.

M. hockey earns shutout versus Yale

"Look, if you had one shot, one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted. One moment, would you capture it or just let it slip?"Last night, men's hockey took that opportunity in a dominating 3-0 win over archrival Yale (2-7-0 overall, 2-5-0 Eastern College Athletic Conference). The Tigers' earned their third win of the season, matching their win total from a season ago.The game, however, was not Princeton's from the start, with the Elis coming out strong and outshooting Princeton, 10 to four, in the first period."The first period was a little scrappy," head coach Len Quesnelle said.
