Track & Field: Stilin keeps pace in ‘stacked’ 5k field, sets Princeton record
Toeing the line of the elite invitational 5000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays in California, senior Joe Stilin found himself a long way from the Ivy League. Racing against one of the most competitive fields he had ever seen, Stilin had two choices before him: run the race of his life, or get dropped like a sack of bricks.“I don’t even really remember the last three or four laps, I was just in oxygen debt pretty bad,” Stilin said. “I looked at the clock with 600 to go and saw what I needed to run to get the school record, and I just focused from there."
