Despite a 12–11 loss to the University of the Pacific, the Tigers bounced back on Sunday morning with a historic win against the University of California - Berkeley Golden Bears. This marks the first time that men’s water polo has defeated Cal in the program’s history.

This past weekend, men’s and women’s cross country participated in the Princeton Fall Classic on the Meadows Campus course. Both squads competed in a 22-team field with the men’s team placing third and the women’s placing eighth. Both teams topped all other Ivy rivals in attendance.

Last year, the Tigers lost to the Crimson in the Ivy League tournament final and failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament. On Saturday, they walked into Cambridge and avenged the loss with an emphatic overtime victory to claim the top spot in the Ivy League.

No. 16 Princeton field hockey beat Ivy foe Cornell on Friday before falling to No. 14 Syracuse in a Sunday matinée. The Tigers continued their uneven Friday-Sunday splits, staying undefeated on Fridays while picking up another Sunday loss.

Hosting their first Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) home games of the season, the No. 9 men’s water polo team played three matches at Denunzio Pool over the weekend. On Saturday morning, the Tigers defeated the No. 18 Brown Bears before toppling the MIT Engineers. On Sunday morning, the Tigers were narrowly beaten in a double-overtime thriller against their NWPC rivals, the Harvard Crimson (10–2 overall, 3–0 NWPC), 16–17.
