Recent graduate Larry Giberson was charged in March with six counts of civil disorder, and originally pleaded not guilty in April. He will receive his sentence in November.

GPTZero, created by Edward Tian ’23 out of a senior thesis project, is designed to distinguish between human and AI-written text. Since his initial version went viral last winter, large language models like ChatGPT have progressed. Tian, along with fellow Princeton graduates and current undergraduates, have been working to continuously improve GPTZero’s features in response.
