Charter plans for multi-club Bicker system

Charter Club became the first eating club to announce changes to its member selection process as a result of a new multi-club Bicker system that has been discussed by the Interclub Council.Charter president Rodrigo Menezes ’13 said in an email to members on Wednesday night that the ICC’s official position is that it has no changes to announce at this time, which is the same position the ICC had in May. He added that “a few clubs” had already accepted the proposal and signed onto the new system.

After nine year absence, Third Eye Blind to return for fall Lawnparties

Third Eye Blind will headline this fall’s Lawnparties USG-sponsored concert, president Bruce Easop ’13 announced Saturday.An alternative rock band, Third Eye Blind debuted with a self-titled album in 1997. The band rose to fame through popular hits such as “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper” and “How’s It Going to Be.” Third Eye Blind’s most recent album, “Ursa Major,” was released in 2009.

Tilghman faces subpoena for Google records

University President Shirley Tilghman has been ordered to turn over all her correspondence with top executives at Google, where she serves on the board of directors, as part of a subpoena signed by a New Jersey judge last month. The subpoena was issued as part of a class action lawsuit that alleges inappropriate action by Google’s top executives, including Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt ’76, and seeks correspondence from all members of the company’s board.
