The University’s German department has partnered with the Bauhaus-Universitat Weimar to launch the first international Summer School for Media Studies this year.
The program, which will take place from June 6–10 in Weimar, Germany, will offer training in media and cultural studies through lectures, seminars, workshops and film screenings, and provides a platform for students to work with media studies scholars and experts in related fields.

The Weimar-Princeton Summer School will alternate locations from year to year between Princeton and Weimar.
The 2011 program, dire-cted by Weimar’s Lorenz Engell and Princeton’s Thomas Levin, will focus on studying aspects of surveillance culture.
