Q: What has been the greatest highlight of your sports career?

A: My senior year in high school, I instigated a bench-clearing brawl in baseball. They tried to intentionally hit me but instead the ball went behind me.

Q: What was your “welcome to college” moment?

A: Seeing the sun set and rise from the same room in Frist during reading period.

Q: Who is your quirkiest teammate?

A: [Sophomore tight end] Stuart Ahlum, because he literally bought tree-climbing pants, and has the ability to take 20 minutes to answer a basic question.

Q: What was your most embarrassing moment at Princeton?

A: I was at Tiger Inn and a girl mistook me for someone else, and open-hand slapped me as hard as she could. Then her boyfriend tried to fight me.

Q: What is the best part about being an athlete on campus?

A: I can dress like a bum and get away with it all the time. Also, the preferential treatment and easy A’s we get from professors.

Q: What is the worst part about being an athlete on campus?

A: Being judged by all the geniuses in class just because I am an athlete.

Q: What is your least favorite thing about football?

A: Definitely having to come back from break early. We have to come back like Jan. 2.

Q: If you were your coach for a day, what would you do?

A: I would give players the day off, and then take the team to Science Spectrum (a hands-on science museum). Or form a traveling band in the countryside.

Q: Does the team have any odd rituals?

A: Voluntarily getting up at 5:30 in the off-season to go run for two hours in Jadwin.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not practicing?

A: Stompin’ out children on NCAA 2011.

Q: What music inspires you?

A: Texas country music. I am pretty sure I am the only one on campus who listens to it.
