On Tap with ... Michael Crowder

After three seasons as a Tiger, senior center Michael Crowder took the field on Saturday to help lead the men’s football team to its 36-33 victory over Lafayette. Crowder was a two-time All-Northeast Tennessee selection and his class’s valedictorian at Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, Tenn., population 2,960. Crowder has played a more prominent role in the backfield this season after junior center Mike Muha was injured in the first quarter of the season-opener against Lehigh. On Saturday, Crowder played a key role in enabling junior quarterback Tommy Wornham to pass for 214 yards and two touchdowns.
