Q: What was your “welcome to college” moment?
A: My first week of school, fellow members of the Class of 2011 — Kate Scarpetta and Rachel Blum — duct-taped me to a wall. At that moment, I knew it was going to be a great four years.
Q: What is the greatest highlight of your sports career?
A: Last year’s spring break, playing Pebble Beach with the team. It was the best day ever.
Q: Who is your quirkiest teammate? Why?
A: Kate Scarpetta. The other day at practice, she was talking about looking for direction in her life. She walked up to her ball in the middle of the fairway and found a rusted steak knife with electrical tape around the handle lying next to the ball. Things like this always seem to happen to Kate.
Q: What is your funniest story about your coach, Amy Bond?
A: Coach loves the restaurant Cracker Barrel. We go every year for her birthday, and she always orders chicken and dumplings with a double side of mac and cheese.
Q: What’s the best part about being an athlete on campus?
A: Free sweatpants.
Q: What’s the worst part about being an athlete on campus?
A: Walking to Jadwin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not playing golf?
A: Being at Cap & Gown!
Q: With only eight people on the team, how are the dynamics of the team different from other teams?
A: We’re so small that it’s like a family! I love these girls! I think it’s awesome that with a team this size, you get the opportunity to really know each of your teammates.
Q: If not golf, what other sport would you play?
A: Curling. After watching the Olympics, I’m absolutely hooked on it.
Q: What would you do if you were coach for a day?
A: Drive the team to Chipotle.
Q: What’s your favorite class you’ve taken at Princeton so far?
A: MUS 264, [about] the history of rock and roll.
Q: Who gets the most guys/girls on the team? Who has the most game off the course?
A: Well, Michelle Grilli’s got game ... but we’re working on Tiffany Dong’s confidence levels so she can fill Michelle’s shoes once she graduates.
Q: Do you have a particular pre-game ritual?
A: I drink a cup of coffee, I take two Aleve, and when I get to the first tee, I mark a sleeve of golf balls that I will play with that day.
Q: Is there any music in particular that inspires you?
A: “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash has become a recent team favorite. There’s nothing like having a great song stuck in your head for five hours on the golf course.
Q: What’s the most embarrassing song on your iPod?
A: “The Circle of Life” from “The Lion King.” I love that song.
