Q: What was your “welcome to college” moment?

A: My first midterm, because I thought that the first six weeks of school were freshman week.

Q: What was the greatest highlight of your sports career?

A: The last two matches we had here at Princeton against Trinity. We lost both of them, 5-4, and I actually lost both of my matches, but it was ridiculous because there were probably 1,000 or 2,000 people at the squash courts. I’ve never played in front of a crowd like that.

Q: Who is your quirkiest teammate?

A: Clay Blackiston, Nikhil Seth and Todd Harrity. Clay because he’s the kind of guy who’ll wear multi-colored socks hiked over his jeans, a headband and a tank top. Nikhil because he likes to mess with people, and he’s good at it. And Todd, because he’s Todd.

Q: What was your most embarrassing moment at Princeton?

A: Being called out by my physics professor in front of my lecture for falling asleep in the front row.

Q: What is the best part about being an athlete at Princeton?

A: Having three hours a day to blow off your mind. Also, you get to meet a lot of sweet people down at Jadwin [Gymnasium].

A: Three hours where you blow your brains out and then have to eat and start doing some homework.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when not practicing?

A: Sleep.

Q: If you were the head coach for a day, what would you do?

A: I’d make the rest of my team do band sprints, and I’d sit and watch.

Q: What is your pre-game ritual?

A: I listen to a visualization CD. Basically just 10 minutes of getting your mind focused, so I lie on my back with my headphones in and close my eyes.

Q: What is the most embarrassing song on your iPod?

A: I’ve got some Miley Cyrus.

Q: Who gets the most girls on the team? Who has the most game off the court?

A: The best part about our team is everyone thinks they have tremendous game, but no one really has it. Ed Casserley likes to turn on his English accent whenever girls are around, and probably the guy with the worst game is Kelly Shannon.
