A: I had a guy that lived on my hall freshman year that was pretty ridiculous but will remain unnamed. On the first day of class, he came into my dorm at 11 a.m. asking if I wanted to do shots. He got PMC’d for stumbling around naked that night, which I can’t say I’d seen happen before.

A: Hopefully it is yet to come. We still have IRAs and a trip to Henley this year. But thus far, winning Sprints was the proudest moment of my career.

Q: What is the funniest story you have about your coach?

A: One time we sent our coach a text from another guy’s phone as a joke that said, “Greg, I’m about to hook up with this girl, but I think she may be a tranny.” He replied, saying, “Close your eyes, and do what feels good.”

Q: Who is your quirkiest teammate? Why?

A: My quirkiest teammate is easily [senior] Pat Ryan. He is also my roommate and has horrible night terrors. He literally runs from his room screaming in fear pretty regularly. He’s actually going into the Marines, so we’ll see how well that works out.

A: I was walking out of a lecture freshman year while the professor had his back turned. I tried to go out the back, but the exit was on the other side, and I ended up opening a janitor’s closet instead, and he called me out in a class of like 120 people.

Q: If you were a coach for a day, what would you do?

A: Schedule tanning practices. You can get really well bronzed out on Lake Carnegie on a sunny day.

Q: Who gets the most guys or girls on the team? Who has the most game off the water?

A: I would like to take this opportunity to mention that [junior] James Donovan has the least game off the water. And [senior] Kenny Ewell is probably the biggest ladies’ man on the team. I think there are even a few dudes on the team that have a man-crush on him.

Q: What music inspires you?

A: Being an Italian from Philly, I’d say anything from the Rocky soundtracks gets me really fired up, especially “Hearts on Fire” from “Rocky IV.”

Q: What’s the most embarrassing song on your iPod?

A: There are a few that I’m not too proud of. It’s probably a two-way tie between La Bouche’s “Be My Lover” and “A Whole New World,” the theme song from “Aladdin.”
