A: I gave up 21 runs in my first 10 innings as a freshman, and after a pretty bad inning at Western Carolina, [head coach Scott Bradley] told me in front of the team that, believe it or not, there had actually been worse starts to a Princeton career than mine.  It wasn’t very comforting.

Q: What’s the funniest story you have about your coach?

A: Every Winter, hundreds of geese fly onto our field and poop all over it. [Bradley] told us that one time he was chasing geese off the field and a goose started flying at him, so he stepped back and punched it in the face.

Q: Who’s your quirkiest teammate? Why?

A: [Senior infielder] Dan DeGeorge. He hates ketchup, mayonnaise and milkshakes. His mom picked all of his college classes for him before he even got to school. He goes home every day to hit with his dad and only comes on campus when we have practice. He didn’t even eat a banana until freshman year.  He had his thesis pretty much finished by fall break, and he has braces.
