Q: What is your funniest story about a coach?

A: Every time you go into the office at Dillon [Gymnasium], you’ll end up being there for an hour. [Head coach Bill Tierney will] just talk to you. He enjoys talking. What you thought was going to be five minutes is going to be an hour.

Q: Who is your quirkiest teammate? Why?

A: [Freshman defenseman] Billy Coughlin. There are times where you think he’s in another planet. He’ll zone out for minutes at a time. He’s a space cadet, you could say. Not only does he space out, but he isn’t the best storyteller ever. It’s a running joke with all the freshmen.

Q: What is your most embarrassing moment?

A: Having my mom ask me what I have in my pants after the first game. I was given the largest cup ever. It looks like I’m pregnant.

Q: If you didn’t play lacrosse, what other sport would you play?

A: Soccer. I played it in high school, and I’m a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s my favorite player and I wish I were him.

Q: If you were a coach for a day, what would you do?

A: I would probably have all the goalies on man–up offense and put some of the midfielders in the goal.

Q: What’s your favorite class at Princeton?

A: Well, I kind of overdid it. I did the whole “I think I want to be an engineer and then drop out after the first term” thing, so my first classes were a little rough. Probably WWS 301/POL 308: Ethics in Public Policy.

Q: Who gets the most guys/girls on the team? Who has the most game off the field?

A: [Freshman midfielder] Oscar Loynaz, without a doubt. He’s been called the hottest guy on our team by a number of girls.

Q: What is inspiring music for you?

A: The locker room music basically does it for me. A lot of the same songs are played over and over, like “Bottoms Up” by Keke Palmer … We have a really good selection. Whatever the seniors put on the mix gets me going.

Q: Most embarrassing song on your iPod?

A: It’s Miley Cyrus’ “7 Things.” I don’t know, I just really like when it starts. And I like the chorus.
