A: Every year all of the incoming freshmen on the lacrosse team go to Princeton’s summer lacrosse camp, which is partially staffed by many of the current players. The players asked our group of pre-frosh to perform a skit in front of the camp, and we chose to do a dance to Kanye West’s workout plan. We did it in front of all of the coaches, players and campers, and it was silent. Not a single person laughed or clapped or cheered. It was really embarrassing.
Q: Greatest highlight in sports career?
A: The last-second goal for the win over Virginia was probably the biggest moment I have had.
Q: Funniest story about coach?
A: Our coach’s new favorite phrase is “that really chaps my ass,” after she heard one of our captains use it in reference to her yelling at practice. She now uses it about once per practice.
Q: Quirkiest teammate? Why?
A: [Junior midfielder] Holly McGarvie. She is very into the environment, so she only brushes her teeth once a day to conserve water.
Q: Best part about being an athlete on campus?
A: I feel justified in wearing sweatpants to class every day.
Q: Worst/hardest part about being an athlete on campus?
A: I wear sweatpants to class every day.
Q: Favorite thing to do when not practicing?

A: I really like watching TV episodes online.
Q: If you didn’t play lacrosse, what other sport you would you like to play?
A: In the spirit of March Madness, if I could be really good at any other sport I would want to be a sick basketball player. I think it has the potential for so much creativity, and there are so many cool things you can do with the ball.
Q: If you were a coach for a day, you would…?
A: If I were a coach for a day I would make the entire practice a series of competitive games. I would divide the team up and they would have to keep track to see who won the most. Those are always my favorite days at practice.
Q: What is your favorite class so far at Princeton?
A: National Security with [Wilson School professor] Jason Lyall was by far my favorite class here. It convinced me to be a politics major.
Q: Who gets the most guys on the team? Who has the most game off the field?
A: [Junior defenseman] Marie McKenna by far. She has the kind of curly hair that drives all the boys crazy.
Q: Pre-game ritual?
A: [Junior defenseman Caity] Manzo watches her game tapes from high school the night before every game. Usually I will watch them with her.
Q: What is the most embarrassing song on your iPod?
A: I have the entire “Freaky Friday” soundtrack on my iPod.
