Schmidt honored

After leading the field hockey team with 11 goals and 29 points, playing in each of the Tigers' 18 games and topping the Ivy League scoring chart this season, sophomore forward Paige Schmidt was recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for her efforts. She was named to the 2005 Dartfish/NFHCA Division I All-Mid-Atlantic Region team Monday, an honor that goes along with the 2005 Ivy League Player of the Year award she received earlier.

Behncke Player of Year

Senior forward Emily Behncke continued the women's soccer team's recent dominance of the Ivy League's top individual honor, claiming Player of the Year honors, the fourth time a Tiger has received the award in the past five years. She went on a tear at the end of the season , notching eight goals in the Tigers' final five games. She finished the season with a league-leading 14 goals and her collegiate career in third place on Princeton's career points list, with 90.

Sophomore midfielder Diana Matheson and senior defender Romy Trigg-Smith joined Behncke as first-team All-Ivy, and senior midfielder Maija Garnaas earned honorable mention status.
