Juniors from the men's and women's tennis teams were the centerpieces of each team's showing at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Eastern Regionals.
The men went to Blacksburg, Va., and junior Darius Craton reached the final 16 in both the main singles bracket and the doubles bracket with classmate Josh Burman.
As the No. 14 seed, Craton earned a first-round bye. In the second round, Craton made short work of Penn's Justin Lavner, 6-2 and 6-1.
Craton next battled through three sets with Cornell's Josh Kaff. Craton won the first set, 6-4, but lost steam in the second to fall, 1-6, before coming back to win the third in a 6-4 decision.
The No. 1 seed and the No. 25 player in the country brought Craton's run to a close. Harvard's Jonathan Chu beat Craton in two sets, 6-4 and 7-6.
For the women, junior Jessica Siebel highlighted Princeton's performance. Siebel began with straight-set wins over Merve Koksal of LIU in the first round of the main draw. Siebel's drive slowed during the second round against Virginia Tech's Anat Elazari but ultimately won, 0-6, 6-1 and 7-5.
A pair of 6-1 losses in the third round to Maryland's Marianne Baker concluded Siebel's activity for the tournament.
