Women's golf
Four Tigers finished in the top 15 golfers at the Princeton Invitational this weekend, good enough to keep the first-place trophy at home.
The Tigers were led by freshman Sharla Cloutier, who took first place individual honors after shooting a final-round 77 to finish with a seven-over 151 for the tournament.
Senior Avery Kiser, Princeton's customary top finisher, shot even par on the first day of the two-day event, but struggled yesterday with an eight-over 80. Kiser took second overall, just one shot behind Cloutier.
Juniors Meg Nakamura and Taryn Haliday each finished with identical scores of 160, tying for 13th place.
Though Richmond had two golfers in the top five, an impressive final-round showing from Yale vaulted the Bulldogs into second place in the team competition ahead of the Spiders.
Men's water polo
The men's water polo team took home its first-ever Eastern College Athletic Conference title this weekend at Brown.
The Tigers defeated Navy, 8-6, in the title game. Along the way to the tournament final, Princeton defeated John Hopkins, George Washington and Queens.
Junior goalie Peter Sabbatini made 10 saves in the Tiger victory. Sophomore drivers John Stover and Mike McKenna, freshman two-meter driver Reid Joseph, and sophomore two-meter Jamal Motlagh notched two goals each in the championship game.
Princeton outscored its opponents 41-9 in the first three games of the tournament. This was no small feat, considering it beat top-seeded Queens in its third game.
