Women's golf
Led by junior Avery Kiser's two-under 71, Princeton won the team title at the Dartmouth Invitational at Hanover Country Club this weekend.
Kiser's 71 was good enough to claim tournament medalist honors and helped the Tigers set a team record for a two-round tournament.
Seventeen other teams competed in the event, but none challenged Princeton for the lead. The Tigers won the team event by 27 strokes over Boston College.
Two other Princetonians finished in the top five in the individual standings. Freshman Sharla Cloutier shot a one-over 147 to finish second overall, and sophomore Meg Nakamura took fourth with a five-over 151.
Men's water polo
Men's water polo went 4-0 in the season-opening North/South Invitational at DeNunzio Pool this weekend, beating Queens, Brown, Harvard, and Iona in the nine-team, three-day event.
Princeton dismantled Queens, 10-1, on Friday behind three goals from sophomore defense John Stover.
A pair of Ivy League foes fell to the Tigers on Saturday as Princeton topped Harvard, 11-7, in the early game and Brown, 14-8, in the late game. Stover scored seven goals in the two games. Freshman two-meter Reid Joseph scored twice against Brown.
The Tigers completed the sweep Sunday with a 10-6 win over Iona. Stover again starred with four goals, and sophomore two-meter Jamal Motlagh and freshman defenseman Chris Kelsch added two each.
Women's cross country
The women's cross country team kicked off its season on a high note, sweeping La Salle, Manhattan and Rutgers in dual meets at the Battlefield Invitational held at the Princeton Battlefield.
Senior Emily Kroshus finished first with a time of 17:20.76. Sophomore Meredith Lambert finished second, nine seconds behind Kroshus. The Tigers dominated the event, capturing eight of the top ten finishing positions. Their next meet is on Sept. 27 in New Rochelle, N.Y.
Men's cross country
The men's cross country team also competed at the Battlefield Invitational but was not as dominant, splitting its pair of dual meets. The Tigers fell to La Salle, but finished on top of Manhattan.

Junior Austin Smith finished second with a time of 25:14.23, which was one second behind the race's winner.
La Salle won the invitational, claiming seven of the top ten finishing positions.
Women's volleyball
The women's volleyball team opened its season playing three tough matches at the St. John's Classic in Juniata, N.Y. The Tigers won one out of the three games, beating Wagner, but falling to both Long Island University and St. John's on Saturday.
The Tigers were without senior outside hitter Kellie Cramm, who was out due to illness. Princeton could only manage a .139 hitting percentage in the LIU game, while their opponents hit .319.
