The Princeton Tower Club has chosen to select new members this fall through a petition process rather than the Bicker system they have used the past two years.
"This year, there was no reason numbers-wise to do a fall Bicker," Tower president Jon Sprouse '03 said. But after members asked about admitting new people to the club, the officers decided on a petition process already existing in clubs by-laws, Sprouse said.
The spring Bicker process, however, will remain the same, Sprouse said.
"[Spring] is the only Bicker that we plan on having, and we take our class accordingly," filling the number of spots the club's kitchen can handle, Sprouse said. He added that most clubs could accommodate more members than they currently have.
One hundred fifty-seven students bickered at Tower in spring 2002, of which the club selected 94.
Fall Bicker is a smaller, less formalized process than the official spring Bicker. This year Ivy and Cap and Gown clubs are hosting fall Bicker.
