Iacavazzi '65 Selected to College Football Hall of Fame
Princeton football star Cosmo Iacavazzi was recently named one of 13 inductees to the College Football Hall of Fame for 2002. Iacavazzi captained the 1964 Tiger squad and was named a National Scholar-Athlete by the National Football Foundation.
Iacavazzi was the running back for Princeton's Ivy League championship teams in 1963 and 1964. In his senior year, Iacavazzi led the Tigers to a 7-0 record in the Ancient Eight and was named co-Most Valuable Player of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. He was also a first team All-America selection in 1964.
Iacavazzi turned down a number of Big Ten schools and Notre Dame to come to Princeton and study aerospace engineering, fulfilling a childhood dream. After graduation, he worked for Boeing and Smith Barney and is currently president of Marjem Management Company.
Also in the Hall of Fame's Class of 2002 are Pitt's Dan Marino and Tennessee's Reggie White.
