Tigers mount and ride those Bulldogs, scoring 17 times; progeny are an ugly mix

The men's lacrosse team dominated Yale late last night in a random scrimmage at 1952 Stadium. Pummeling the Elis without release for 60 minutes, the Tigers finally came out on top, 17-0.

With the win, Princeton has now manhandled every Ivy League team that has dared to approach it. The Tigers stand tall at 5-0, lengthening their advantage on league opponents with each ensuing effort.

The Tigers seemed in danger of collapse in the early going when senior attackman B. J. Prager squeezed off a few too many reckless shots into the Eli crease. Fortunately, Princeton managed to regain its rhythm after a much-needed timeout.

"I just told them they were pushing too hard," head coach Bill Tierney said. "They needed to get their minds off the game a little, relax, and think about baseball or something."

After that, Princeton seemed to get its groove back, putting the Elis' back on their knees. The Yalies brief experiment with assertiveness retreated into more familiar submission.

Junior goalie Julian Gould was hot between the pipes for the Tigers, deftly maneuvering his stick to just the right spot every time.

"It was a great night for me," Gould said. "But what I want to know is how was it for them. I got done what I needed to, but I doubt they enjoyed it.

Tierney warns that the team's impressive performance could have adverse effects, however.

"Everyone will want a piece of us after this," he moaned. "They'll throw everything they have at us."
