Enough is enough. And last night, the men's soccer team decided it was tired of being on the wrong side of the win-loss column, even if it had only been there twice. Once the team made up its mind, not even Seton Hall, previously 7-1-1, was going to get in the way. Princeton (4-2-2 overall, 1-1-1 Ivy League) rolled over the Pirates en route to a resounding 3-0 win, rebounding from a two-game slump.
Senior forward Mike Nugent started the Tigers on their path to victory at the 2 minute, 37 second mark, with his fifth goal of the season.
Senior forward Lucas Moskowitz followed Nugent's lead, scoring off a feed from junior forward Matt Douglas at the 8:50 mark, and senior defenseman Graeme Rein rounded out the offensive onslaught when he headed the ball into the goal off a corner kick in the second half. These were the first goals of the season for both Moskowitz and Rein.
Junior goalkeeper Jason White managed eight saves — increasing his total to 52 in the Tiger's eight games — and recorded his fifth shutout of the year.
Princeton broke up the Pirate's five-game winning streak, handing the team its second loss of the season. Seton Hall (7-2-1) recently recorded a tight win over Notre Dame, beating the Fighting Irish 1-0 in overtime.
