Three Keys to Victory--North Carolina

1. Do not underestimate

So they say they know Princeton always gives people problems. And they know how the Princeton Offense works. All high seeds say this before playing lower teams — and then a lot of them lose. North Carolina has been near the top of the pools. If both teams give equal efforts, the Tar Heels have the talent to win comfortably. The important word there is if.

2. Own the boards

In its loss to Duke in the ACC championship, North Carolina was outrebounded by a much smaller Blue Devil team. The Tar Heels have no excuse for doing such a thing again against the low-to-the-ground Tigers. If allowed more than one shot per possession, Princeton can make plenty of threes.

3. Make the entry pass

Penn's Geoff Owens is a big center, just like Brendan Haywood, but he did nothing to Princeton this year. This was primarily due to the Tigers' excellent job of keeping the ball out of his hands. Haywood is considerably better than Owens, and if the Tigers let him get too many touches, he'll have his points.
