Peter Zavodny

Sometimes just stepping back into the heat of competition is a victory. Senior defenseman Peter Zavodny did that one better this weekend as he returned to the ice less than four months after suffering a grade-five shoulder separation — the most serious type of separation — and made an impact in his first two games. In his first game back Friday at Rensselaer, Zavodny played in one of the Tigers' most solid defensive outings of the season — a 1-0 loss to the Engineers. The defensive-minded defenseman stifled a potent RPI attack and provided a stable presence on the defensive end that Princeton had been missing all year.
