Fifteen students taken to McCosh Health Center, Princeton Medical Center with alcohol-related injuries during weekend

Seven students were transported Friday to McCosh Health Center and four to Princeton Medical Center from Prospect Avenue, according to Public Safety shift supervisor Lt. Lloyd Best.

All of the 11 incidents that occurred Friday were alcohol-related injuries, according to Best. Public Safety suspects these injuries were related to the activities that occurred with Bicker club pick-ups, which took place that afternoon.

Four students with alcohol-related injuries were transported to McCosh on Saturday, the evening when many eating clubs held initiations, according to Best. No students were reported to have been transported to PMC that night, he said.

"The USG is looking to work with the clubs to create more options that do not involve alcohol," USG Vice President Brigitte Anderson '02 said. "[Binge drinking] does not just affect the eating clubs, but it affects the University as a whole."

Last year, three students were transported to Princeton Medical Center during club sign-in and Bicker week.
