On Jan. 8, senior Melanie Meerschwam became one of 18 players to be named to the U.S. National Team. Meerschwam is just the second Tiger in Princeton field hockey history to play for the National Team; the only other was Martha Russo '85. Meerschwam ended her Princeton career as the fifth-leading scorer in school history. Among her accolades: first-team All-America, Regional All-America, first-team All-Ivy and All-ECAC.

...The U.S. National Team plays at top international events, most notably the Olympic Games. Meersch-wam brings a wealth of experience with her, from Ivy titles to NCAA tournament appearances — including a loss in the championship game her sophomore year.

...Men's water polo's sophomore two-meter Kevin Foster was selected as a third-team All-American. He led the team with 63 goals this season.
