With an Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship crown under its belt, the men's tennis team has little to worry about this offseason other than gaining experience where it can. Enter the two-day Penn Classic.

Junior Nick Benjamin and freshman Daniel Friedman enjoyed plenty of court time yesterday, each logging one doubles and two singles matches. Benjamin claimed the most success of the two, beating Temple foe Kizashane Pillay (6-1, 1-6, 6-2) in the first round of the singles tournament before losing to the fourth seed — Harvard's Cliff Nguyen — 6-2, 6-3.

Friedman fell in his first singles match, 5-6 (7), 6-3, 6-3, to Penn State's Matt Nielsen. In the consolation bracket, the freshman advanced to the second round with a bye, but lost in two sets (6-3, 6-3).
