The occupants of a four-person suite in Rockefeller College’s Holder Hall have been relocated twice after reporting bed bug infestations on Sept. 13 and Sept. 27, according to a student from the affected suite.

The Aquinas Institute, a local Catholic chaplaincy that provides services to Princeton students, relocated to a newly-bought house on 24 Charlton St., north of the Friend Center, on Aug. 17. The move was made in order to address student and ministry concerns about the distance of the old house from the University campus, chaplain Father David Swantek said.

When Gabe Banevicius ’15 and his roommates returned to their new quad on campus at the beginning of the semester, they found a refrigerator and a mattress that didn’t belong to them. They assumed the furniture had been delivered by Princeton’s Moving and Storage Agency, one of the 14 services affiliated withPrinceton Student Agencies.

The Class of 2016 will get its first chance to rush fraternities and sororities next month, as the first class to do so under the administration’s ban on freshman participation in Greek activities. Presidents of Greek organizations say the ban has had a noticeable impact on this year’s class of pledges, increasing students’ interest in Greek life and attracting a more dedicated rush-savvy class of recruits.

The USG voted unanimously to appoint Mariana Bagneris ’15 as the new Class of 2015 senator at the first meeting of the year Sunday evening.Bagneris will fill the Class of 2015 senate seat that was vacated by Deana Davoudiasl, who stepped down from the position in order to take the semester off.

In addition to their yearly training before students arrive on campus in the fall, the University’s residential college advisers learned they would be participating in another University program this year — a credit card initiative. Rather than dealing with reimbursements for study breaks or keeping track of University cash advances, each RCA has been given a new University-issued Bank of America credit card by the Office of Finance and Treasury.

While the start of college is a milestone for most, Cason Crane ’17 had already passed seven others before arriving at Princeton. Crane, who graduated from high school in Connecticut in 2011, deferred his admission for two years in order to climb the Seven Summits — the highest peak on each of the seven continents — as part of TheRainbow Summits Project, an initiative he designed to contribute to efforts against teenage suicide among LGBTQ youth.

When FiscalNote, a company founded by Tim Hwang ’14, recently raised $1.4 million in funding, the company's list of backers included Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and the venture capital firm New Enterprises Associates. But among the list of high-powered investors was a more unexpected source of support, coming from Hwang's own Princeton classmates, Taylor Francis ’14 and Raymond Zhong ’14 by way of theDorm Room Fund, a venture fund run by student entrepreneurs at various universities across the United States.

During the first week of July, five University students were studying abroad inCairo, where this past week the Egyptian government of President Mohamed Morsi was overthrown by popular and military action. All five students, which included four graduate students and one undergraduate, have now left Egypt. A few recent graduates of the University have chosen to remain in the country despitewarnings from the State Departmentadvising Americans to evacuate.

A male University student was hospitalized after being diagnosed with bacterial meningitis on June 30 during an academic program abroad, the University announced in an email sent to undergraduate students Tuesday afternoon. Fourteen other students who were on the trip received prophylactic treatment, according to University spokesperson Martin Mbugua.
