Wrestling falls to powerhouses Lehigh, Cornell

Facing two of the best teams in the region, the Tigers were unable to pull out victories. Princeton wrestled in two meets this past week, facing Lehigh at home Thursday and travelling to Cornell Saturday. Against the Mountain HawksIn the first meet, held in the friendly confines of Dillon Gymnasium, the Tigers surged out of the gate, refusing to back down and be intimidated by Lehigh's top-five national ranking.

Women's hockey approaching ECAC games with Vermont and Dartmouth

The time for No. 8 women's hockey to prove its mettle ? if it has not done so already ? has arrived, as the Tigers head into a long stretch of nothing but Eastern College Athletic Conference opponents on the docket for the rest of the regular season.After hosting McGill in an exhibition game Sunday, women's hockey will get back into action with a two-game weekend at the end of Intersession.

Women's track takes time off from writing papers to defeat Rutgers

During reading period, most students are locked away in some corner of Firestone or Frist, banging away at their computers or cramming for exams.But the women's track team found time Saturday to face Route 1 rival Rutgers in an indoor track meet at Jadwin Gym.The Tigers won eight of 17 events against the Scarlet Knights, but got enough points to win the dual meet, 87-55.Junior Emily Kroshus led a sweep for the Tigers in the one mile run, clocking in at four minutes, 57.71 seconds, more than ten seconds ahead of fellow junior Pilar Marin.

Blockbuster beer pong trade rocks Charter Club players

CHARTER ? In a move that will certainly shift the balance of power in the beer pong community, one of the sport's best teams is rumored to be parting ways.'Prince' Sports learned yesterday afternoon that senior pong standout Andrew Lenz will likely trade longtime playing partner and fellow senior Matt Simmons for international pong superstar Yi Yong Fan before the start of the Charter Club pong tournament this March.Yi currently runs a junior pong clinic in Portland, Ore., but is coming out of retirement to play in the Charter tournament."Simmons has played Robin to my Batman long enough," Lenz said.In an interview given to Paddle Palace magazine, Yi said that "There is so much potential in the U.S.

Get it over with: Time to axe Will Green, men's golf head coach

We've wanted to write this column for a long time. The time has come. The Princeton community and the sporting world have waited long enough.Our patience has run out, and so too should the patience of the new athletic director as soon as he moves in.Men's golf head coach Will Green has got to go.Now, there will be people out there, some of whom may even play golf, that will say that coach Green should keep his job.
