Lax wins two over break

In sports, a team needs both possession of the ball and a coherent offense to score. It took them most of spring break, but the men's lacrosse team looks like it might've finally found a good combination of these two factors.Though the Tigers' (4-2) 9-4 win over Butler (1-6) on Friday seemed a bit on the flat side, Princeton came alive in the second half against Binghamton (4-3) yesterday with a seven-goal run in a promising display of offensive coordination.

Lack of consistency leads to 1-7 record over road trip

They have talent. They have experience. They have all the pieces necessary to put together a dominant stretch this season, but like an impossible jigsaw puzzle the edges of the pieces refuse to interlock smoothly.The men's baseball team (4-11) limped back into town late last night, fresh off a 1-7 road trip, that was not exactly representative of the renewal, birth, and brotherhood that are supposed to arrive with spring.

After the No. 6 men's lacrosse team (2-1) suffered a 7-6 loss to No. 2 Virginia on Sunday, head coach Bill Tierney was left wondering what might have happened had just a single shot found its way into the net."Any one shot on goal can be the difference," Tierney said.
