Men's Water Polo: Southerns first step on road to NCAA berth

The No. 16 men?s water polo team will host the Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Championship this weekend, hoping to earn a berth in the Eastern Championship later this month.As the second seed in the tournament, Princeton (14-9 overall, 6-2 CWPA Southern Division) will face the winner of the Friday-night contest between George Washington (7-19, 1-7) and Salem International (0-11), the ninth- and 10th-ranked seeds, on Saturday morning.

No more No. 42 Tigers

Some schools are generous about retiring the numbers of their all-star athletes.Princeton, however, isn?t one of those schools.Last week, the University finally retired the number 42 ? a number shared by football legend Dick Kazmaier ?52 and basketball Hall of Famer Bill Bradley ?65 ? the two best athletes ever to walk through FitzRandolph Gate in The Daily Princetonian?s Top 20 Greatest Athletes.
