Princeton women’s volleyball (6–6 overall, 2–1 Ivy League) split their weekend against Columbia and Cornell. The Tigers defeated Columbia (8–5, 1–2) 3–1 on Friday but took a tough 3–1 loss from Cornell (10–2, 3–0) on Saturday.

Princeton women's volleyball (4–5) opens Ivy League conference play this Friday against the Penn Quakers (7–2). Last season, the Tigers swept the Quakers 3–0 in both matchups during the season. After taking second in the conference to Yale last year, the Tigers are looking to fight to get their Ivy League title back this season.

First-year James Hartley was just seven years old when he started playing volleyball with his sister in his driveway in North Carolina. He knew that he loved the game, but there wasn’t a boys’ team for him to play on. When he was nine, he started playing with a local volleyball club for the girls’ U12 team; he moved to the U13 team when he was 10.

Princeton’s women’s volleyball (2–4) traveled to College Park, Maryland to participate in the Maryland Invitational this past weekend. Princeton was one of four teams with George Mason (3–6), Arkansas (5–5), and Maryland (6–3) making up the rest.

Princeton men’s soccer (1–1 overall) made their home debut on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium in Princeton last night, Sept. 11, against Rider (1–2 overall). Princeton came into their 2-1 victory against the Broncs holding a 15–3–3 lead in their all-time series.

The No. 13 men’s volleyball team’s (18–13, 13–1 EIVA) historic season came to an end on April 30 as the team was defeated by No. 3 Pepperdine 3–2 (23–7, 9–3 MPSF) in Long Beach for the second round of the NCAA tournament.

No. 13 Princeton men’s volleyball (18–12, 13–1 EIVA) faced Barton College (25–5, 14–2 conference) on Thursday, April 25 in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Tigers took home a 3–1 win (25–23, 25–21, 18–25, 25–20) to mark their first NCAA tournament win in program history.

The 2019 season brought Princeton’s men’s volleyball team (17–12, 13–1 EIVA) a total of 1202 kills, 170 service aces, 674 digs, 1122 assists, 209 blocks, and a total of 2286 points, and they aren’t done yet. The Tigers hosted the 2019 EIVA championship tournament this past weekend, with George Mason (17–9, 10–4), Penn State (15–15, 10–4), and Saint Francis (15–14, 9–5) in attendance.

Friday, April 12 was a historic night for Princeton’s men’s volleyball team (15—12, 13—1 EIVA). The Tigers beat Saint Francis (15—13, 9—5 EIVA) 3—1 (25—19, 25—16, 20—25, 25—23), a victory that propelled the Tigers to an outright conference title and home court advantage for the EIVA playoffs for the first time in program history. The Tigers also faced Penn State (14—14, 10—4) on Saturday and defeated them 3—0 (25—19, 25—16, 25—20).

Saturday’s Senior Night win over Harvard was an emotional moment for Princeton women’s basketball. Playing at Jadwin Gymnasium for the final time, Princeton’s seniors led the team to a gritty 61–58 win. Head coach Courtney Banghart earned her 250th career win in the process.

The Princeton women’s basketball team (16–9, 8–2 Ivy) defeated Penn (18–5, 8–2 Ivy) 68–53 on Tuesday night after allowing only one basket in the fourth quarter. The Tigers are now tied for first place in the Ivy League with the Quakers. Junior Bella Alarie had 33 points and 10 rebounds to contribute to the win. Sophomore Carlie Littlefield finished with 14 and junior Gabrielle Rush added 13.

In their last meet-up, Princeton beat Columbia 79–64. The Tigers shot .453 from the field, had 47 rebounds, and racked up nine steals. This was also the game that junior Bella Alarie set two Ivy League records. The story of her record-breaking performance, and a recap of the game, can be found here. Sophomore Carlie Littlefield also contributed 18 points.

Princeton’s women’s basketball (10–8 overall, 2–1 Ivy) will be facing Yale (13–6, 3–1) and Brown (9–11, 1–3) in Jadwin Gym during its alumnae weekend Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9. After coming off of a successful and, for some, a record breaking weekend against Cornell and Columbia, the women are looking to sweep their conference opponents this weekend.

Saturday evening, the Princeton women’s basketball team (3–7, 0–0) defeated the Quinnipiac Bobcats (4–5) in Jadwin Gymnasium, 54–42, to add another win to its non-conference schedule. Junior forward Bella Alarie, the 2018 Ivy League Player of the Year, made her comeback after an injury. Alarie scored 16 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks, two steals, and two assists during this game, solidifying the hashtag that the team’s Twitter account gave her, #BellaBuckets. This was Alarie’s 21st double-double in her career at Princeton. She is currently two double-doubles behind Ellen DeVoe and Margaret Meier for second place in Princeton’s record. Alarie was rewarded for her excellence on the court by being named Ivy League Player of the Week yesterday for the 10th time.

Sunday, the Princeton women’s basketball team (2–7) gained its second win this season as the Tigers played Davidson (4–4) at home in Jadwin Gymnasium. Coming off of a six-game losing streak, the Tigers were motivated to get the win this weekend.

As its season came to an end, the women’s volleyball team (19–6 overall, 12–2 Ivy League) trailed Yale (19–4, 13–1) for the Ivy League title by one match. Yale finished conference play 13–1 while Princeton finished 12–2. This didn’t bring the Tigers down as they finished their season strong with a sweep on their senior day, Nov. 10, against Dartmouth (10–15, 5–9).
