On Monday, April 22 at 12 p.m., climate protestors from the Sunrise Princeton organization organized on Frist North Lawn for their Earth Day protest. The protest was held to draw attention to the group's list of demands for the University, which include an amalgamation of progressive causes including worker’s rights and the conflict in Israel and Palestine.

The newly admitted Class of 2028 received a warm welcome to Princeton for this year’s Princeton Preview, with temperatures reaching 70 degrees. The annual celebration, held this year on April 9 and 16, serves as an opportunity for accepted students and their families to gain a deeper understanding of what the university has to offer.

After announcing their intent to file a petition with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to form a union, approximately 50 postdoctoral scholars delivered a letter to Nassau Hall on Monday calling on the University to remain impartial during the anticipated election to unionize.

A University statement shared with The Daily Princetonian released the 27 members of the Class of 2024 who are eligible for the primary elections for the Class of 2024’s Young Alumni Trustee (YAT). This year, there has been a change in the eligibility guidelines for candidates looking to run.

After the elections for the Center for Jewish Life (CJL) held on Dec. 5 and 6, The Daily Princetonian sat down with incoming CJL President Stephen Bartell ’25 to discuss his vision for the upcoming year. Bartell’s goals included “a commitment to the value of Jewish pluralism” as vital to upholding inclusivity at the CJL, especially as the conflict in Israel and Palestine continues.

More than 130 members of the American Whig-Cliosophic Society (Whig-Clio) voted for officers last Friday, a major increase from previous years as the club, once the University’s largest, continues to rebuild from the pandemic. In December 2022, only 58 people voted. The previous year, fewer than 25 people cast ballots.

A campus message issued on Monday, Dec. 4 officially banned Personal Electric Vehicles (PEVs) starting Jan. 25, 2024. More specifically, the ban prohibits use — and “storage, parking, and charging” — of any PEV in the “restricted zone,” which encompasses basically all of campus, according to the message. This is an escalation of an August policy that placed restrictions on hours and speeds within the zone.

When Princeton students returned to campus this fall, the Nassau Street locations of Mochinut and Ani Ramen, two casual chain restaurants located near the Princeton Garden Theater, had closed after being open for less than a year. Other locations of each chain remain open.

“It’s hard to instill in yourself the tradition that alumni can instill in other athletes,” football player Jim Anderson ’86 told The Daily Princetonian in 1985. “[Alumni] say, ‘Look, the tradition of Princeton football is this, and the tradition of Princeton football is that, and we have got to do it for the tradition of Princeton football.’”
